About the Hotel
Pernilla Wiberg Hotel is a year-round mountain resort in Idre Fjäll, one of Sweden's largest ski areas with 41 lifts and slopes running down to the Dalarna highlands. The hotel takes its name from the Olympic double gold medallist who trained on these very runs, and the connection to competitive skiing is woven into the spirit of the place — the resort has ski equipment rentals, ski storage, a fitness centre, sauna, and steam room on site.
Beyond the slopes, Idre Fjäll sits in Sámi country, and reindeer herding is still practised across the fells above the resort. In summer, the trails connect to Fulufjällets Nationalpark, home to Njupeskär — Sweden's highest waterfall at 93 metres — and to the Älvdalen river valley below. Mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, and horse riding are all available in the warmer months, and the terrain transitions seamlessly between open fjäll, birch forests, and the Norwegian border just to the west.
