River Point Resort & Outfitting Co. has been welcoming guests to Birch Lake near Ely since 1944. The resort sits at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
The Finnish sauna is lakeside and open 24 hours. The traditional design includes an indoor shower and a unique open-air 'garden shower' (open to the sky) for rinsing between sauna rounds. Two sandy swim beaches, complimentary kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes. Private hiking trail and marina.
