About
Twin Peaks Ranch sits in the Salmon River Mountains at the edge of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness — at 2.3 million acres, the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48 states and one of the most remote places in the continental United States. The ranch is accessible by a 40-mile dirt road (or floatplane), and once you arrive, the Salmon River's Middle Fork corridor stretches into the wilderness in both directions. The wood-fired sauna is a genuine backcountry essential — the combination of a day's horseback riding or white-water rafting on Class IV rapids, followed by the sauna and cold Salmon River plunge, is Idaho wilderness therapy at its most authentic. The ranch operates as an all-inclusive during the summer season with guided activities exclusively.
