About the Hotel
Stein Eriksen Lodge is named for the Norwegian Olympic giant slalom champion who won gold at Oslo 1952 and came to represent the golden age of ski culture in America — fitting, then, that his namesake lodge at Deer Valley Resort is one of the finest ski hotels in North America. Ski-in/ski-out on Deer Valley's groomed runs (where snowboarders are famously not admitted), the lodge holds Forbes Five Star status year-round. The 24,000-square-foot Stein Eriksen Spa features a Finnish sauna, Norwegian-inspired thermal pool, steam, and a full menu of alpine wellness treatments. The Norwegian heritage runs through the spa philosophy — contrast therapy, heat and cold, the Scandinavian approach to using winter rather than hiding from it. Park City's historic Main Street is minutes away; Salt Lake City's airport 45 minutes.
