About the Hotel
Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been the Florida Keys' landmark resort since 1946 — a 27-acre oceanfront property in Islamorada, 'the Village of Islands,' that has hosted every US president from Eisenhower to Obama (most were here to fish, not to rest). The Upper Keys around Islamorada offer the most remarkable sport fishing in the continental United States: bonefish, tarpon, permit, sailfish, and blue marlin are all catchable within sight of the resort's dock. The spa includes Finnish sauna, steam, and oceanview treatment pavilions; the combination of thermal contrast — sauna heat and a plunge into the crystalline 80°F waters of the Atlantic flats — is as natural and immediate a thermal experience as exists anywhere in the South. The resort's outdoor saltwater pool, the Keys sunsets, and the long pier extending into the Atlantic complete an environment that has defined Florida Keys luxury since the postwar era.
