Sheldon Chalet

Sheldon Chalet sits at 6,000 feet in the Don Sheldon Mountain House Amphitheater — a glacial cirque in the Alaska Range directly below Denali, North America's highest peak at 20,310 feet. This is the most remote luxury accommodation in North America, accessible only by helicopter or ski plane from Talkeetna, with accommodations for a maximum of ten guests. The wood-fired sauna sits outside on the glacier, and the cold plunge is the glacier itself — guests can roll from sauna onto 10,000-year-old ice. The Denali massif, Ruth Glacier, and the Alaska Range form a 360-degree panorama visible from no other spa setting in the world. Rates include all meals, guided glacier activities, and the helicopter transfer.
