About the Hotel
Cliff House Maine sits on Bald Head Cliff in Cape Neddick, 70 feet directly above the Atlantic Ocean on one of the most exposed cliff positions of any hotel on the East Coast. The resort's spa features a sauna and steam room alongside an infinity pool that appears to pour directly into the ocean — creating a visual and thermal environment without equivalent on the Maine coast. The original Cliff House opened in 1872 and the property was completely rebuilt and reopened in 2018, bringing modern thermal spa infrastructure to what has always been the most dramatically sited property in southern Maine. The intersection of North Atlantic ocean, exposed cliff, and sauna heat creates one of the most elemental resort bathing experiences in New England.
