Amangiri is widely considered one of the greatest hotels ever built anywhere on Earth — a resort so perfectly integrated into its landscape that the Colorado Plateau sandstone butte at the property's centre appears to grow through the heated pool deck. Set in the Grand Circle near the Arizona border, surrounded by Navajo Nation lands, Lake Powell, and slot canyons, the resort's low-slung concrete-and-glass pavilions were designed to disappear into the desert rather than dominate it.
