About the Hotel
The Grand Brighton has presided over the city's seafront since 1864, its white Victorian facade a defining image of Brighton's King's Road. One of England's great Victorian resort hotels, it has hosted prime ministers, royalty, and generations of visitors who have come to Brighton for the sea air, the Regency architecture, and the long pebbled beach stretching away in both directions from the hotel's front steps.
The Grand's spa and leisure facilities provide a welcome retreat after a day spent exploring the city — whether browsing the antique jewellers of The Lanes, admiring the extraordinary Royal Pavilion just inland from the seafront, or taking in views from the glass pod of the British Airways i360. Brighton's reputation as 'London-by-the-Sea' makes The Grand equally appealing to weekend travellers from the capital and to international visitors arriving via Gatwick. The hotel is also known as the site of the 1984 IRA bombing during the Conservative Party Conference, a significant moment in modern British political history.
