Great Fortune Design Hotel & Spa

A few streets from the great monuments of Sultanahmet, Great Fortune Design Hotel & Spa keeps a quiet card up its sleeve: an electrically heated sauna with communal access for guests. In a neighbourhood where days are spent on your feet, a reliable dose of dry heat back at the hotel changes the character of a city break. Make the sauna a fixed point in your Istanbul routine. Arrive back in the late afternoon, let the warmth ease legs tired from cobblestones and museum floors, cool off under a refreshing shower, then rest before deciding on dinner. Thoughtful practicalities — allergy-free rooms, air conditioning throughout, a bicycle-friendly setup and 24-hour security — round out a stay designed for comfort as much as location. Great Fortune Design Hotel & Spa proves that a Sultanahmet base can restore as well as position you. When the evening call to prayer drifts over the rooftops, you will be warm, rested and ready for more of Istanbul.
