About the Hotel
Grindelwalderhof stands in the centre of Grindelwald at 1,034 metres, a few minutes' walk from the Grindelwald Terminal where the Eiger Express tricable gondola — the fastest way onto the Jungfrau ski region — departs in minutes. The hotel has a sauna, a terrace overlooking the village and the Eiger Nordwand, ski and luggage storage, tour assistance and multilingual staff, plus a small grocery and convenience store on site. Children stay free, and free ski passes can be arranged for young guests through the front desk.
The Eiger's famous north face is visible from the property itself. First mountain — reached by gondola above the village — gives access to the Bachalpsee lake hike, the Eiger Trail traversing below the north face and paragliding launch sites. Grindelwald-Männlichen is reachable by gondola from the village, opening the broad sunny plateau runs above Wengen. Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe at 3,454 metres, is under an hour by train from Grindelwald station. The glacier canyon walk through the Blue Ice gorge is a 20-minute stroll from Grindelwalderhof's front door.
