Scandic Holmenkollen Park

Scandic Holmenkollen Park sits on the hillside next to Oslo's famous ski jump and runs Artesia Spa — a heated pool, sauna, steam bath, cold shower, and a relaxation area with daybeds — alongside what is officially the largest hotel gym in the Nordic countries at over 1,100 square meters. This is the Oslo-area wellness destination for travelers who also want to ski, hike, or train seriously. The sauna at Scandic Holmenkollen Park is a proper Finnish-style room within the Artesia Spa complex, with a 16+ age limit so you can actually rest. Hotel guests get discounted access (NOK 195 per visit), and drop-in is available based on capacity. The spa sits next to the Dragebygget — the hotel's historic dragon-style wooden building — and feels very different from a city-center hotel sauna. Scandic Holmenkollen Park is the Oslo choice for travelers who want a proper sauna paired with a huge gym, the best hotel view over Oslo from the hillside, and immediate access to Holmenkollen's ski trails and ski museum.
