Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic

Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic is the historic landmark at the heart of Karl Johans gate, and its 7th-floor Artesia Spa pairs a sauna and steam room with a 30°C heated pool and an infrared cabin — a rare combination in the Oslo city center. The 7 treatment rooms make it a full-service spa rather than just a gym add-on, and the proximity to the Royal Palace gives the whole experience a distinctly central-Oslo feel. The sauna at Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic is part of a drop-in wellness circuit open to hotel guests, with a 16+ age limit and a small fee. The heated pool holds 30 degrees year-round, and the infrared cabin adds an option for lower-temperature sessions. Finishing a Karl Johan walk in the spa at the top of the Grand is about as classic an Oslo experience as hotel wellness gets. Grand Hotel Oslo by Scandic is the pick in Oslo for travelers who want a historic main-street hotel with a real sauna, a heated pool, and an infrared cabin, all on the top floor with views over the city.
