About this place
Danubius Hotel Gellért is a legendary Art Nouveau hotel that opened in 1918 and has been an iconic Budapest landmark for over a century. The property sits at the foot of Gellért Hill, right next to one of Budapest's most beautiful bridges, and has hosted American presidents and European royalty across the years.
The hotel's world-famous Gellért Baths are one of Budapest's most spectacular thermal-bath experiences. The complex includes several indoor and outdoor swimming pools, traditional saunas, steam rooms, and the original 1927 wave pool. The thermal baths use natural hot springs and offer an authentic Hungarian bathing experience in a majestic Art Nouveau setting with mosaics, columns, and a glass roof.
Guests can enjoy Hungarian cooking at Panoráma Restaurant or Gellért Brasserie, and the hotel sits right by the Liberty Bridge with short walking access to the Great Market Hall and Pest's shopping streets.
