About the Hotel
The Hotel König Albert — named after King Albert of Saxony — is the flagship hotel in the Vogtland's most elegant spa town: Bad Elster, Saxony's most tradition-rich royal health spa, with a history reaching back to the era of the Saxon kings. The house combines spa-town tradition with modern 4-star Superior comfort and has been awarded an exceptional 9.4/10 rating by guests.
The hotel has six indoor pools, two whirlpools, an outdoor pool, an extensive sauna landscape with a brine bath, and a direct bathrobe walkway to the Albert-Bad — the Saxon State Baths. This direct access to the historic State Baths with their mineral and brine springs is the heart of the wellness experience at the König Albert.
Bad Elster lies in the Vogtland, a gently rolling cultural landscape in the tri-border area of Germany, the Czech Republic, and Bavaria, surrounded by forests and meadows. The historic spa-park grounds, concert halls, and well-kept townscape with its neoclassical architecture from the heyday of the Saxon kingdom give Bad Elster a flair rarely found in this form in Germany.
