About the Hotel
Les Célestins Spa Hôtel is at the very centre of France's most famous spa town. Vichy — known as the capital of France's thermal springs — was expanded in the 19th century into Europe's most elegant spa town and is inseparably linked to the French balneology tradition. Napoleon III modernised the town in the 1860s after his own model, and the magnificent turn-of-the-century architecture still dominates the townscape.
Les Célestins combines the spa tradition with modern hotel comfort and offers one of the most comprehensive spa offerings in the Massif Central. At its core is access to Vichy's natural thermal springs, used — thanks to their particular mineral content — for balneology, hydrotherapy, and thalassotherapy. The offering includes a thermal pool, a heated indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, a hammam, a steam room, Kneipp foot baths, jet massage, water massage, and comprehensive treatment programmes for relaxation, detox, and revitalisation.
Vichy is worth the journey — the Belle Époque architecture along the parks of the Allier river, the opera house, and the spa halls are among the best-preserved ensembles of this era in all of France.
