About the Hotel
Radisson Blu Marina Palace sits directly on the Aurajoki in Turku — Finland's oldest city and the gateway to the Turku archipelago. The hotel was built in 1972 on the river's north bank, a five-minute walk from the medieval old town, Turku Cathedral and the riverside row of permanently moored restaurant boats.
The wellness side is the chain's standard pairing of fitness centre and sauna — the everyday Finnish wind-down, not a destination spa. The food and meetings side is the bigger story: 13 meeting rooms and around 7,700 sq ft of conference space, two restaurants, a bar/lounge, and a kitchen with at least 80% organic produce and vegan/vegetarian menus. Sustainability practices are extensive — annual carbon offsets, local-artist showcase, comprehensive food-waste and recycling policies, reusable tableware and cups only.
Turku is Finland's medieval capital, the start of the Silja and Viking ferry routes to Stockholm, and the launching point for archipelago cruises. The hotel suits both business stays around the riverside conference cluster and weekend travellers exploring the cathedral, castle and old town.
