About the Hotel
Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere is Finland's tallest hotel — a striking 88-metre, twenty-five-storey dark tower that dominates the central Tampere skyline directly next to the train station. The building became part of the city's identity from the moment it opened, and Moro Sky Bar at the very top serves drinks with 360-degree views across Tampere and the lakes Pyhäjärvi and Näsijärvi on either side.
Sauna access is free for every guest, in keeping with proper Finnish tradition — Tampere is officially the world's sauna capital, with more than fifty public saunas across the municipality, so it would be unthinkable for a major hotel here to charge for sauna access. A fitness studio is also free for all guests.
Three restaurants cover the dining side: Grill it! Paja for grilled food, Paja Bar for the local rock-culture vibe, and Moro Sky Bar at the top for cocktails with the view. The hotel works well for families (children's play area, separate family breakfast zone), business travelers (short walk to Nokia Arena and the conference centres), and weekenders alike. Train travellers from Helsinki can be in a room in under five minutes of arrival.
