About the Hotel
Lapland Hotels Arena is Tampere's newest premium hotel, opened in 2021 and directly connected to Nokia Arena — Finland's largest indoor arena, home to ice hockey side Tappara and host to the country's biggest concerts. The hotel spreads 273 rooms across floors six to eleven of the building, and over 70 of those rooms include a private Finnish sauna — a rare concentration of in-room saunas in any single hotel.
The headline attraction is Laawu Rooftop Terrace at the top of the building, with three different saunas, an outdoor hot tub, and panoramic views over Tampere and the surrounding lakes. It's one of the most spectacular hotel-sauna setups in Finland, and it's particularly popular with arena guests who want to close out a concert or a hockey night with an authentic Finnish sauna session under the stars.
All rooms come with Arctic Dreams beds and the high-quality bedding Lapland Hotels has commissioned for itself. The restaurant runs Nordic-arctic cooking built around local ingredients, and breakfast and WiFi are included. Lapland Hotels Arena suits both concert and sports fans, but the modern conference capacity also makes it a strong business option.
