About the Hotel
Hotel d'Angleterre is Copenhagen's landmark luxury hotel, established in 1755 and still one of the most prestigious addresses in the Nordics. The property is housed in a neoclassical palais from 1755 at Kongens Nytorv, surrounded by the Royal Danish Theatre and Charlottenborg Palace, and only a few steps from the picturesque Nyhavn. After an extensive restoration the hotel reopened in May 2013 with 30 rooms and 60 suites, all combining classic decor with modern comfort.
Amazing Space is the hotel's own spa facility — a calm and elegant wellness offering with five treatment rooms, a 10x12-metre indoor swimming pool, a traditional Nordic sauna with dry heat, a steam bath with aromatherapy, and a spacious relaxation zone. The spa menu includes deep tissue massage, aromatherapy, and Ayurvedic treatments. A 24-hour health centre is an unusual offering in the Nordic region and a meaningful part of d'Angleterre's appeal to international business travelers.
The hotel's restaurant Marchal carries one Michelin star, led by executive chef Jakob de Neergaard, who combines Nordic ingredients with French culinary technique. Champagne bar Balthazar is one of the city's most photographed. Hotel d'Angleterre is classic luxury at the heart of Copenhagen — for travelers who want Danish history, tradition, and uncompromising quality.
