About the Hotel
Das Walchsee Resort sits on the shore of Lake Walchsee in the Kaiserwinkl region of Tirol, on the Bavarian border between Kufstein and Reit im Winkl. The resort runs a broad family-leisure programme: paddleboard and sailing on the lake, an on-site 18-hole golf course, mountain biking, beach yoga, and cross-country skiing and ski lessons in winter.
The wellness side is full-service: an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna, a steam room and treatment rooms in the spa, plus a dedicated fitness centre. After a day on the water or on the bike, the wet area is the natural wind-down before dinner in the resort's restaurant or a drink on the lakeside terrace.
The Kaiserwinkl is one of Tirol's calmer corners — a sheltered valley between the Wilder Kaiser massif and the Chiemgau Alps, well suited to families and active couples who want hiking, water sports and a proper spa in the same week. Munich Airport is roughly 90 minutes away, Innsbruck and Salzburg both about an hour by car.
