Copperhill Mountain Lodge, an Ascend Collection Resort

Copperhill Mountain Lodge is Scandinavia's most architecturally ambitious design mountain hotel — designed by Pritzker-nominated American architect Peter Bohlin (also known for Apple's flagship stores) and set high in Åre's mountain landscape with ski-in/ski-out access to the resort's 450 kilometres of pistes. The full-service spa runs a complete Scandinavian wellness sequence: traditional Finnish sauna, steam bath, hot springs, and a wide menu of body treatments focused on recovery after skiing, hiking, or mountain biking. The spa is designed to complement the hotel's modern architecture and panoramic views over the Åre mountains rather than fight them. A free ski-driver shuttle runs to the lifts, which makes Copperhill a strong pick for skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers alike. The restaurant runs modern Scandinavian cooking that reworks traditional Jämtland dishes, and the hotel adds a bar, a lounge, and rooms with spectacular mountain views. Part of the Ascend Collection — international service standard layered onto an authentically Scandinavian mountain setting.
