Thon Hotel Ålesund

Thon Hotel Ålesund sits directly on the harbour promenade with exceptional views over the harbour and the Art Nouveau city. The 130 modern rooms include many with panoramic views toward the harbour and the mountains Aksla and Sukkertoppen — one of the better waterfront positions in the city. Guests get access to a sauna and a well-equipped fitness studio, both with windows looking out toward the sea. The popular breakfast buffet is included and served with sea views — the kind of detail that turns a morning into part of the experience. The position is ideal for exploring Ålesund: the Hurtigruten quay, the Jugendstilsenteret museum, and the city centre are all within a short walk. The hotel also has its own restaurant and lobby bar, making it a strong all-rounder for travelers using Ålesund as a base for the wider region.
